Terms of Service & Marketplace Rules
Last updated: May 6, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of QuickBuck, a microjob marketplace operated by Ambsd Group Inc ("QuickBuck", "we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account, posting a gig, reserving a slot, submitting proof, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Read carefully. These Terms include important provisions on payments, escrow, dispute resolution, intellectual property, limitation of liability, and the governing law that applies to our relationship.
1. Introduction
QuickBuck is a two-sided online marketplace operated by Ambsd Group Inc that allows businesses, brands, app developers, creators, researchers, and individual operators ("Posters") to publish small online tasks ("Gigs"), and allows freelancers and side-hustlers ("Workers") to reserve slots, complete those Gigs, and earn payment based on submitted Proof of Work.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and QuickBuck. They apply jointly to your use of the QuickBuck website, dashboards, APIs, mobile-optimized interfaces, and any related services we provide (collectively, the "Platform").
If you do not agree to any portion of these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.
These Terms reference and incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Together, these documents constitute the full agreement between you and QuickBuck regarding your use of the Platform.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions apply:
- "Account" — your registered profile on the Platform, including credentials, settings, and history.
- "Gig" — a discrete microtask posted to the marketplace, including its public brief, private instructions, proof requirements, slot quantity, reward amount, and eligibility filters.
- "Slot" — a single reservation unit within a Gig. One Worker can reserve one Slot at a time per Gig.
- "Reservation" — the act of a Worker claiming a Slot, which unlocks the Gig's private instructions and starts the submission timer.
- "Submission Window" — the time period (typically 30-60 minutes) in which a Worker must submit Proof of Work after Reservation.
- "Proof of Work" — the deliverable submitted by a Worker, including links, screenshots, video files, photos, written notes, or any other evidence specified by the Poster's brief.
- "Reward" — the amount paid to the Worker upon approval of Proof of Work, denominated in US Dollars unless otherwise indicated.
- "Platform Fee" — the 10% fee charged by QuickBuck to Posters in addition to the Reward amount.
- "Wallet" — the in-Platform balance maintained for each Worker, denominated in US Dollars, holding earned Rewards prior to withdrawal.
- "Trust Level" — the reputation tier (Levels 0, 1, 2) assigned to a Worker based on completion history, proof quality, and verification status.
- "Escrow" — funds held by our payment processors (Stripe and Wise) on behalf of Posters and released to Workers upon proof approval or auto-release.
- "Sister Project" — any other property operated by QuickBuck or its founder, including ace-step-ui, HeartMuLa-Studio, and WorkFil.com.
3. Eligibility
To create an Account or use the Platform you represent and warrant that you:
- Are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if it is higher than 18;
- Have full legal capacity to enter into these Terms;
- Are not located in, ordinarily resident in, or organized under the laws of a country subject to comprehensive United States or European Union sanctions (including but not limited to Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions);
- Are not a Specially Designated National or otherwise listed on any sanctions list maintained by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the EU, or the UK;
- Will not use the Platform on behalf of any sanctioned individual or entity;
- Will not access or use the Platform in any way that violates applicable law in your jurisdiction.
QuickBuck reserves the right to verify any of the above representations at any time and to suspend or terminate Accounts that fail to meet eligibility requirements.
4. Accounts & Security
4.1 Account creation
To use most Platform features you must create an Account using a supported authentication method (Google OAuth or email/password). You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep that information up to date.
4.2 One Account per person
You may operate only one Account. You may use a single Account for both Posting and Working roles by switching dashboard mode in Settings. Creating duplicate Accounts to bypass Trust Levels, regional restrictions, daily caps, or moderation actions is grounds for immediate termination of all related Accounts.
4.3 Credential security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity occurring under your Account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
4.4 Identity verification
We may, at our sole discretion, require additional identity verification (including government-issued ID, selfie verification, payment-method verification, or sanctions screening) before permitting certain features such as withdrawal above defined thresholds, posting Gigs above defined budgets, or operating in certain jurisdictions. Failure to complete reasonable verification requests may result in suspension.
5. Marketplace Structure
QuickBuck is an independent intermediary. We are not an employer, employment agency, contractor, or staffing firm. Posters and Workers are independent parties who contract directly with each other on a per-Gig basis through the Platform. QuickBuck is not a party to those contracts.
We provide the technical infrastructure (account system, gig queue, reservation timers, escrow integration, proof review workflow, dispute resolution tooling, payouts) but we do not employ Workers and do not represent Posters. No agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship is created between QuickBuck and any user by virtue of these Terms.
6. Posting Gigs
6.1 Poster obligations
When you post a Gig you agree:
- The Gig is a legitimate, lawful task and complies with applicable law and the policies of any third-party platform involved;
- The public brief and private instructions are accurate, complete, and not deliberately misleading;
- You have full authority to authorize the work being requested (including any IP, brand assets, or third-party accounts referenced);
- The Reward amount and proof requirements are fair and reasonable for the requested task;
- You will fund Escrow before any Slot becomes reservable;
- You will review submitted Proof of Work in good faith within the 5-business-day review window.
6.2 Brief content standards
Briefs must be specific enough that a reasonable Worker can understand and complete the task. Vague briefs ("be creative", "do something cool") that lead to inevitable disputes may be removed by moderation and your Escrow refunded.
6.3 Private instructions
Sensitive details (campaign URLs, promo codes, target accounts, internal product names) may be locked behind Reservation. Workers see private instructions only after reserving a Slot, reducing scraping and free-riding.
7. Prohibited Gigs
You may not post Gigs that involve, request, encourage, or facilitate any of the following:
- Illegal activity in any applicable jurisdiction.
- Hate speech, harassment, threats, doxing, or content targeting protected classes.
- Sexually explicit material, child sexual abuse material, or content sexualizing minors. This is grounds for immediate termination AND reporting to law enforcement and NCMEC.
- Fraud, phishing, or social engineering. Including but not limited to fake reviews tied to specific ratings, paid 5-star app store reviews, fake engagement, fake follower purchase, or any work designed to deceive a third-party platform's trust system.
- Requests for sensitive personal data from Workers, including passwords, government identity documents, social security numbers, full payment card details, bank account credentials, two-factor recovery codes, or wallet seed phrases.
- Bypass of platform policies on third-party services (e.g. Apple App Store, Google Play, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Yelp, Amazon) where the bypass is the substance of the work.
- Automation, bot traffic, or fake-account creation when the work depends on real human users.
- VPN, emulator, or remote-browser use when the Gig requires real regional presence.
- Defamation, false claims, or knowingly false product reviews.
- Misrepresentation of identity, including astroturfing or paid endorsements without disclosure where disclosure is required by FTC guidelines.
- Weapons, explosives, regulated substances, illegal drugs, controlled pharmaceuticals, or related services.
- Gambling or betting tasks in jurisdictions where they are restricted, or where the Worker is in a restricted jurisdiction.
- Cryptocurrency airdrop farming, sybil-attack participation, or other on-chain manipulation.
- Multi-level-marketing recruitment or chain-style "earn by recruiting" structures.
- Academic dishonesty, including ghost-writing for graded coursework or impersonation in online exams.
- Personal medical, legal, or financial advice presented as professional advice without licensure.
For background on what does and doesn't constitute compliant paid review work, see our paid-review legality guide and how to get app reviews the right way.
8. Reserving & Completing Gigs
When you reserve a Slot you agree to:
- Complete the Gig honestly and in accordance with the public brief and any private instructions revealed upon Reservation;
- Submit Proof of Work before the Submission Window expires (typically 30-60 minutes);
- Use only Accounts, devices, and locations that you are permitted to use for the Gig;
- Not use automated scripts, bots, fake Accounts, or paid third parties to fulfill any portion of the work;
- Comply with the privacy and security expectations laid out in the Gig brief;
- Respond in good faith to any clarification questions from the Poster within the Submission Window.
If you fail to submit Proof of Work within the Submission Window, the Slot will reopen for another eligible Worker. Repeated expirations affect your Trust Level. See our complete earner guide for the full lifecycle.
9. Proof of Work Standards
Proof of Work must match the format specified in the Gig brief exactly. Common standards include:
- Screenshots must be unedited, full-frame, and clearly show the action specified;
- Video files must match required aspect ratio, duration, and audio specifications;
- Photos requiring location verification must retain EXIF metadata where requested;
- Public links must point to live, accessible pages (not drafts);
- Written feedback must be substantive — not "nice app" or "looks good" — when the brief asks for feedback.
Posters approve, reject, or request revisions on Proof of Work within 5 business days of submission. If a Poster does not act within 5 business days, the Reward is automatically released to the Worker's Wallet ("Auto-Release"). See our full proof standards guide.
10. Trust Ladder & Worker Levels
Workers progress through Trust Levels (0, 1, 2) based on a combination of completed Gigs, proof quality, location verification status, and absence of policy violations. Higher Trust Levels unlock access to higher-paying Gigs, larger reservation caps, and visibility on time-limited campaigns.
Trust Level adjustments are determined algorithmically and reviewed by moderation. We may downgrade or freeze Trust Levels in response to repeated proof rejections, expired reservations, dispute losses, or detected policy violations.
11. Location Verification
Some Gigs require Workers to be present in specific countries or regions. We use a combination of GPS signals (with browser permission), IP-derived country information, network metadata, and VPN-risk detection to verify Worker eligibility for region-bound Gigs.
You agree not to use VPNs, proxies, remote browsers, GPS spoofers, or borrowed Accounts to appear eligible for region-bound work for which you are not actually present. Detection of such bypass attempts may result in immediate Account suspension and forfeiture of any Wallet balance held in connection with the violation. See our location verification guide.
12. Fees & Pricing
12.1 Platform Fee
QuickBuck charges a 10% Platform Fee to Posters, calculated on the total Reward amount across all Slots in the Gig. The Platform Fee is added to the Poster's checkout total, not deducted from the Worker Reward. Workers receive 100% of the advertised Reward upon approval.
12.2 Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe (collection from Posters) and Wise (international payouts to Workers). Standard Stripe processing fees may apply to Posters depending on payment method. International Workers may incur small FX-spread costs from Wise per Wise's published rates.
12.3 No platform-side withdrawal fees
QuickBuck charges no fees on Worker withdrawals. PayPal applies its standard rate where used. Bank-side processing fees may apply on the Worker's receiving end and are outside our control.
12.4 Minimum payout
The minimum withdrawal amount is USD $5.00. Withdrawals below this amount remain held in the Wallet until the threshold is reached.
13. Payments, Escrow & Payouts
13.1 Funding Escrow
When a Poster posts a Gig, the total Reward amount + Platform Fee is charged at checkout. The Reward portion is held in Escrow by our payment processors. The Gig becomes reservable only after Escrow is funded.
13.2 Per-slot Escrow
Each Slot in a Gig holds an equal share of Escrow. When a Worker reserves a Slot, their share is locked. If the Slot's Submission Window expires without proof, the share returns to the Poster's available balance and the Slot reopens.
13.3 Release on approval
When a Poster approves Proof of Work, the corresponding Reward is released from Escrow to the Worker's Wallet within minutes. Workers may then request withdrawal subject to the minimum payout threshold.
13.4 Auto-release
If a Poster does not approve, reject, or request revisions on submitted Proof of Work within 5 business days, the Reward is automatically released to the Worker's Wallet. This protects Workers against ghosting Posters.
13.5 Withdrawal methods
Supported withdrawal methods:
- PayPal — typically same-day to 24 hours.
- Wise — 1-2 business days for major currencies.
- US bank ACH — 1-3 business days.
- International bank wire — 2-4 business days; minimum $10.
See our complete payout methods reference for current details.
13.6 Holds and reversals
QuickBuck reserves the right to delay, hold, or reverse any payout in the event of suspected fraud, chargeback investigation, sanctions concerns, or legal compulsion. We will provide written notice via the Account email when reasonably possible.
14. Refunds & Dispute Resolution
14.1 Worker disputes
If a Poster rejects Proof of Work that the Worker believes matches the brief, the Worker may escalate to QuickBuck moderation within 7 days of rejection. We will review the brief, the proof, and any communication. If the proof clearly matches the brief, the Reward is released to the Worker. If the brief was vague and reasonable interpretations diverge, we generally rule in favor of the Worker (clarity is the Poster's responsibility).
14.2 Poster disputes
If a Worker submits manifestly fraudulent or non-compliant proof, the Poster may reject and request a refund of the Slot's Reward. Auto-release does not apply where the Poster has rejected with a documented reason within the 5-business-day window.
14.3 Refund policy
Platform Fees are non-refundable except where the Gig was removed by moderation prior to any Reservations being made.
14.4 Chargebacks
Initiating a payment-card chargeback against QuickBuck instead of using the in-Platform dispute process is a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate Account termination and pursuit of the disputed amount via collections.
15. Taxes
You are solely responsible for determining what, if any, taxes apply to your transactions on QuickBuck and for collecting, reporting, and remitting the correct tax amounts to the appropriate authorities.
For Workers based in the United States who earn $600 or more from QuickBuck in a calendar year, our payment processor (Stripe) will issue a Form 1099-NEC at year-end. International Workers do not receive tax forms from QuickBuck — local tax compliance is the Worker's responsibility per the Worker's country of residence.
See our US side-hustle tax guide for general information. Nothing on QuickBuck constitutes tax advice; consult a qualified tax professional.
16. Intellectual Property
16.1 QuickBuck IP
The Platform, including its source code, design, logos, marks, and content created by QuickBuck, is owned by Ambsd Group Inc and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the Platform in accordance with these Terms.
16.2 Worker-created content
Content created by Workers in fulfillment of Gigs (including video clips, screenshots, written feedback, photos) is licensed by the Worker to the Poster as specified in the Gig brief. Default license: paid social usage, 60-90 days, geo limited to the Poster's stated markets. Posters seeking longer or wider rights must specify those terms in the brief and pay a corresponding premium.
16.3 No perpetual rights at base rate
By default, no Gig at base rate grants the Poster perpetual or worldwide unlimited usage rights. Such rights must be specifically negotiated and priced. Briefs that attempt to claim perpetual rights without explicit pricing premium may be removed by moderation.
16.4 Posters' IP
Posters represent and warrant that they have all necessary rights to brand assets, products, and references provided in their briefs. Workers are not liable for IP infringement arising from a Poster's failure to hold proper rights.
17. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Create, operate, or coordinate multiple Accounts to bypass policies;
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically harvest data from the Platform;
- Interfere with the operation of the Platform, including by introducing malware, denial-of-service attacks, or unauthorized API use;
- Submit fraudulent payment information or initiate chargebacks for legitimate transactions;
- Coordinate with others to manipulate Trust Levels, ratings, or marketplace pricing;
- Solicit Workers or Posters to transact off-Platform to evade Platform Fees ("gig hijacking");
- Misrepresent your identity, location, or qualifications;
- Use the Platform to send unsolicited commercial communications, spam, or promotional links;
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
18. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your Account at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms, suspicion of fraud, legal compulsion, or material risk to the Platform or other users.
Upon termination:
- Approved Wallet balances will be paid out to your registered withdrawal method, subject to standard processing times and fraud review;
- Pending Reservations will be canceled and Escrow refunded to Posters;
- Open disputes will be resolved by moderation before any final disbursement;
- You may not create a new Account to circumvent termination.
You may terminate your Account at any time by emailing [email protected]. Wallet balances above the minimum payout threshold will be released to your registered withdrawal method.
19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless QuickBuck, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of or access to the Platform;
- Your violation of these Terms;
- Your violation of any third party's rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights;
- The content or conduct of Gigs you post or proof you submit;
- Your tax obligations.
20. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
20.1 As-is
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.
20.2 No guarantee of outcomes
We do not guarantee any specific level of earnings for Workers, any specific level of completion for Posters, or any specific quality of Proof of Work. The Platform connects independent parties; the substantive transaction is between them.
20.3 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuickBuck's aggregate liability arising from or related to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by you to QuickBuck in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $100.
In no event shall QuickBuck be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
21. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
For users in the European Union, this clause does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
22. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via email to the address registered on your Account at least 14 days before they take effect, except where shorter notice is required by law or operational urgency.
Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept the changes, you must stop using the Platform.
